Purdey field knife in walnut and brass.We also stock this knife in camel bone and also in walnut.

This knife has a 4" handle and 3" spearpoint blade, 6 brass rivets with brass guard and a hole for a leather lanyard.

The handle is in walnut.

Walnut wood is dense and tight-grained and polishes to a very smooth finish. The colour ranges from creamy white to a dark chocolate colour. The walnut for the handles is exclusive to Purdey as Purdey supplies the genuine off cuts used for making the James Purdey gun stocks.

The blade is made from Damascus steel that is known for its strength and retaining sharpness.

Only after the knife has been treated and polished does the metal truly reveal the characteristic patterns that recall the lost art of the original makers of Damascus steel. Comes in bridle leather belt scabbard with Purdey embossed fastener.
