Purdey field knife in buffalo horn and brass. We also stock this knife in camel bone and in walnut.

This knife has a 4" handle and 3" spearpoint blade, 6 brass rivets with brass guard and a hole for a leather lanyard.

The handle is in buffalo horn.

Buffalo horn is mostly black but can be brown or variegated on the inside - the best horn for cutting are the heavier ones as they have lots of solid material for grips, slabs and carving.

The blade is made from Damascus steel that is known for its strength and retaining sharpness.

Only after the knife has been treated and polished does the metal truly reveal the characteristic patterns that recall the lost art of the original makers of Damascus steel. Comes in bridle leather belt scabbard with Purdey embossed fastener.
