How do you keep the G-1000 magic?
The magic fabric continued...
However, Åke, Fjallraven's founder wondered if he could enhance the properties of the G-1000 fabric even further. So, he started experimenting with ski- and bee wax and after trying different mixes he was happy. By adding the wax to the fabric, his clothing became water resistant, windproof and even more durable. In addition, it was a completely natural product.
Today this product is called Greenland Wax and Greenland is mentioned in quite a few famous Fjällräven products. The reason, the 1966 Greenland Expedition.
